  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I was wondering if anyone ever did make caps for the Red connectors on the right side of the camera. Personally, I'm only going to use maybe one audio channel and the lcd monitor out. I don't need to use the other xlr, usb, sdi, etc. connectors at the moment, but I also don't want to break any of them or have dirty and sand get into the connector ports. Tape would leave a nasty residue, but plastic caps would be a great solution. Does some third party company make anything?
 
No third party companies have made anything to my knowledge.

One point to consider: the camera uses the ports for cooling. Blocking the ports with rubber covers will decrease the cooling capacity of the camera.

That said, I usually just put velcro over the 4 XLR ports, the TA5 port, the USB ports and the HDMI port.
