[Michael Schrengohst]

Here is a short video of Red at the NHRA drag race this past weekend. Enjoy!

Interesting, what camera did you use to record this?

HVX-200 The shots off the line are at 60fps, grabbed audio from other runs shot at 24. It was all handheld, hard to keep steady when you are directly next to 2 funny cars at the starting line.

[Brook Willard]

Heheh, very nice, thanks for posting that.

[Poi Boy]

Very cool; I've never been very impressed by cars going fast in a straight line but I must admit that when you see it live in full sensearound it is pretty cool.

BTW.. that shot was taken by Jim.

[GlennChan]

What camera took that picture btw? Looks good.

He was standing by me a few times out there. At a glance it looked like he was using a Canon 5D or a Canon 1Ds MkII, with a Canon L series 300mm f.2.8 IS USM lens.

[Jarred Land]

MarkII.. with the long lens. you can see it in the little movie Brian posted on page 2.

[Poi Boy]

It is pretty representative of the quality we will get from red one; only red one won't be standing still ! I can't wait.

Does Oakely or RED have any sailing sponsorships?
No superchargers but it can be an exciting sport.(these pics don't do it justice)

I used to enjoy it as a kid and want to take it up again (but Lake Ontario pshhaw).

[Don Woods]

I agree that boat racing is fun. But it dose not screem of the awesome power that funny cars do.

[Brook Willard]

Hmm... this would be a pretty nifty addition to my helmet. I may have to drop $5 for the 3" now.

[Robert Jackson]

The Oakley Mopar car had a final-round run of 4.716 sec. at 332.26 mph, and the stickers stayed on.

Cool. I'm pretty sure my Beetle never broke 80. Musta been my close affiliation with Murphy's Law. ;-)

SPEED. I got your speed right here. yamahama.

I want to shoot these guys. I just dig the water/boats more than cars.

Imagine a large RED logo on these babies

And on top of that you can swing your camera around to catch the bikini speed boat bunnies. Never been to a funny car race but i doubt they're in bikinis hehe.

Damn, i'm just getting excited just thinking about all this 4K water racing footage.

[CVB]

Ok Isle of man is great, I'll give you that; crazy guys. I think Dakkar is the only race where you can get shot at or robbed during the race.
