  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What is the proper way to upgrade REDCINE-X?

I'm a new RED user, and especially new to REDCINE-X.

Does the installer automatically overwrite previous versions, or should I delete old versions (and prefs?) prior to upgrading?

TIA!

On Windows, you can have Beta and Release versions of RCX installed at the same time. Both will use the same preferences files.

On Mac, you can have only Beta or Release.

There's an auto update system built in to RCX. When it detects a new version available, it'll notify you to upgrade. The upgrade will overwrite the currently installed version.

Don't delete your preferences when upgrading.
