  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

GSTABI H10 - GROUPBUY - NEW HANDHELD STABILIZED GIMBAL works with EPIC

Hi Ketch!!

yeah the pricing definitely fits in within a very reasonable price point IMO. Ketch, I'll be bringing this up to your neck of the woods to try out bro. I will be in LA the night of October 23rd.

Hi. Is there a dead line for the deposits?

How does servicing work for a unit like this? I am guessing there are not US based service centers...?

I'll talk to Gremsy regarding this to see how I can be of assistance. I don't think you will run into issues, other than maybe cable replacements etc. If unit is defective, shipping brain controller back and forth shouldn't be too much of an issue. will get back to you on this.

I've been using the gStabi H10 for about 2 weeks now and am just loving it.
The support from Gremsy is world class, they have a great tool and its just going to get better.

Here is a few shots of gStabi on the SkyJib Octo

Can it handle the Leica primes?

Can it handle the Leica primes?

What lenses have people tried on the Epic on the GSTABI H10?

I'd love to be able to use the Leica Summilux-C primes, they are nice and light (around 3 lbs IIRC). However they are longish, and a fair amount of that weight is out toward the front element which impacts the COG due to cantilevered load, which proved challenging for the MōVi M10... (note, we had closer to 12 lbs total weight which I'm sure didn't help)

Cheers - #19

Its the Canon 16 - 32.
I have a set of Illuminas that I'll be testing this week with a remote follow focus and will report back.

Love the octo shots. Thanks for sharing...and also agreed regarding the tech support from Gremsy.
The team is passionate and extremely eager to help.

I will have more GSTABI footage and bts stills to share later this week.

I brought the G-Stabi to Youtube Space La for shooters to check out and they were all excited about it.
Even Big Lu tried it for the first time and was pretty mind blown. Big Lu will chime in later.
I finally got my Epic back so I'll be shooting and posting up footage. I'm going to upload footage from first timers so you can see how stable the rig is for those who have never operated the rig.

Hi Tonaci. Can the G-STABI H10 be used with an easyrig to help fatigue? It looks like the easyrig could grip the H10 top rod, but will this effect the stability / performance? Thanks.

Any news on this? Especially about the service of the gimbal? Also any update if this group buy is a go?

also, i've noticed that the monitoring is done via the 5' touch with a longer cable, since that cable is quite rigid, doesn't it disturb the function of the motors?

Cheers
