Hello, we are pleased to announce that we have posted DaVinci Resolve 10 Beta 3 on our support web site.
There are new DaVinci Resolve 10 Mac, Mac Lite, Windows, Windows Lite and Linux installers at http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support

Besides a number of fixes we were also able to include
-Audio Fade In/Out and level controls on audio clips
-An improved Media Pool layout to make it easier to manage edit bins
-VFX I/O LUTs
-Sony RAW color temperature and tint controls
-Support for JPEG frame decoding for use in the timeline
-Support for P2 MXF decoding
-Support for AVC-Intra mov decoding with Final Cut Pro installed
-Support for decoding of 12-bit luminance DPX files

This release also now reads v9 projects for customers using PostGres databases so after you back up your v9 database you can upgrade to the new v10 database. Disk database customers can continue to use their existing database.

OHHHH thanks Peter..

Peter I have problems when I export to mxf XDCAM MPG2, rendering all right but when I import the file into Premiere be all red or half good and half red, I can only read it with VLC, while normally I should read it with XDCAM viewer.

Are now under Windows 7

Fantastic!
I like how quickly you release new versions.
Will test it right away.

Its still difficult to deal with my imports from FCPX.
- Ken Burns effect will destroy the scaling in Davinci so it will be zoomed out.
- All flipped movies will look like a little stretched box. I really miss this feature
- Timecode effect from FPCX will lay like a black layer covering all clips, ok if its turned off
- all titles look very different and are spread out on different layers. Best is to not include them from FPCX I guess
- Freeze Frame doesn't behave the way I expect. The frozen frame is moved away to a different place

One feature that would be great is if the Inspector could multi select clips. That way I could quicker fix many of the problems like incorrect scaling. Now I have to select every clip and fix it.

No support for Ken Burns and flipped movies are my 2 biggest problems since I use them very often so would be great if they are supported.

Best wishes!

This build has more bugs than b2 on PC
Using softness on power windows, occasionally the softness envelope on a power window can't be seen and will only reappear after a restart of the app. I have also experienced Resolve completely crashing after an event like this.
Changing a LUT can cause complete colour breakdown, where all the clips suddenly look completely off and you have to quit out and restart the app.
Sorry, but I have to go back to b2

Thanks for the feedback, fortunately I run the mac although I'd hate for it to bomb while I have a crowd sitting with me. ;)

Using the beta version of ANYTHING for client work doesn't sound like an entirely smart idea.

It's more than a bit ironic to hear a user of Red cameras say that........

Fact is that Resolve's beta versions have historically been very, very stable. The only issues have usually been with new features, and those have almost always been addressed by the time they go to an "open" beta. In the case of Resolve 10, the beta program has been ongoing for some time now (that's as much as I can say without breaking NDA's) and they are now on "open" Beta 3, a very stable program (at least on the Mac). Besides, as users of Red products should already know, the term "beta" doesn't seem to have nearly as much meaning as it either used to have or should have these days...

Looking forward to next beta version. I find Davinci stable but importing has many frustrating issues still from FCPX at least. Most of them have workarounds though, but will be great when they are fixed!
