Would be awesome if it could play right from the (R3D.s) camera card with selectable output resolution (depending on monitor) with HD-SDI and Quad/Dual link HD-SDI outputs included. What a workhorse that would be for video village, or dailies that are ready for viewing immediately at wrap.

Based on the new performance increase from the GPU support with a decent system you'll be able to playback full resolution via a decent DIT station and feed that signal anywhere. Just saying. As of yesterday we suddenly got what you were looking for.

That's awesome. Right from the camera cards in R3D. That's great to hear. The BNC type SDI outputs would be great, too.

Based on the title of this thread, I thought there was a real wish list happening here... So, while we're on the subject, here is my wish list for the REDRAY player:

* IP command set for control and integration.

* Larger menu elements when shown on a 4K display. I'm sure it's awesome to see the 1080p sized menus centered in the middle of a large 84" or projection screen. On a 55" screen at 10 feet, they're a bit small and it feels like a lot of wasted space surrounding them.

* End user / field upgrade to HDMI 2.0 when ready.

* A better remote, preferably WiFi.

* Customizable play lists or sets. Let us create play lists of videos on the player and choose to shuffle and/ or loop within the set, from multiple sets, etc..

* I wish ODEMAX was out of closed beta...

Fixes needed:

* Fix the HDCP hiccups. Saw someone had the yellow screen HDCP glitch on a Sony 4K display. I had not seen it at the time that thread was posted here, but I encountered it myself a day or two later. I no longer have the Sony 4K panel here, but I have encountered the yellow screen 3 or 4 times now on the Samsung 55" 4K. Sometimes switching back to the menu and hitting play again will resolve it. Most of the time I have to power cycle the REDRAY to get it working again.

* On hard power-up, the initialization screen comes on at 4K via the 1080p output if a display supports it. This could potentially screw with other non-4K displays when in an HDMI distribution system.

* Still suffering from occasional screen tears or other sync glitches. Few and far between, but maybe once a day.

Phil isn't talking about REDRAY doing it, he's saying a decent Mac/PC DIT system can now do it because of the GPU acceleration in REDCINE-X and soon other software. I don't think REDRAY will offer R3D playback, it's a purpose-built unit and I think the internal ASICs are not designed for R3D decoding.

Okay, thanks, I misunderstood Phil. Can't you already send 4K to monitors from the raw file with a DIT station with appropriate processor and red rocket...or is it just 1080 you can send in real time?

+1 on the opening up of the closed Odemax beta testing. Still waiting...

Seamless loop option.

FF / RW x2 x4 x8 x16 x32 etc.

Stop / Resume from Stop point. Currently if you exit to menu, you must start viewing from the beginning again.

Yellow screen happens a lot after updating firmware. Many clips unviewable even after power cycle.

Shorter boot up on first power up.

Support for single frames. Currently, frame shows, then goes to black. I think there may be a workaround for this right now. Seamless loop would also fix this.

User selectable thumbnails via RR menu.

Playlists and multiple user selectable markers on clips for jumping to various points. Great for custom on set playback uses.
