I find this quite annoying, but I stupidly "assumed" the screws holding the Scarlet together would be Allen screws just like the Red-One. But, no they are these little multifaceted types that I don't have a single screwdriver of that type in all my tools for.

Until I acquire the right type, I can't even remove the small door so I can attach the SSD Side Handle.

Would someone be kind enough to tell me what the damn things are called, what size I need, and if one size fits all, or if I need an entire kit?

I'm sorry if I seem perturbed, but we just got our Scarlet today and I can't even put it together until I can find the time to get to the hardware store.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !! :(

Thanks.

I seem to recall an allen key working just fine, or was it a tool that came with the side handle? I didnt have to buy any special tool

I think many of the screw heads are torx; a sort of star shaped variation on allen heads.

One fell out of the bottom of the SSD unit the day I took the Scarlet out of the box. I'm sure I used either a hex or star wrench... One should fit...

Not near my camera, but I think this is correct.

This applies to Epic and Scarlet:

Typical Accessories Bolts = 5/32" Hex
Top Plate = M4 Hex
DSMC Lens Mounts = Torx T20
General Body Plates and DSMC Side SSD Module = Torx T10
Top Grill = Torx T8
Backfocus = Torx Plus IP10

And yes, the bodies ship with one Torx T10.
