I have a graded project that is a little edit change in. I import the new timeline by xml. Before I have one master timeline and then the one im working on. When I import the new edit the grades references to the master timeline. How can i change this?

I believe that this is a quite common question to Resolve users. When you are grading on a project, It is automated that you are grading in "Global" mode. Unless you want to deactivate that in the Setup/Preference.

You can always disable it in your Color Page by right clicking any clips and click "Copy to Local". But Id on't usually do that. What I do is that I use the "Version" method. I like to have my Global grade intact because that's where I usually Render it from. Different people have different methods and workflow. And if I want to render the other "Version", I would render separately.

Hope that helps :-)
