  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

HE STOLE MY EPIC-X

Thanks to all.

Today I got everything back successfully (nothing missing).

You should shoot a short from first person perspective, your camera's, about it's grand adventure.

You should reward yourself and your Epic with a Dragon update :)

Awesome news Kwan! That was fast! Happy shooting with your rescued baby!
Thanks Mike, I hope I don't have to rescue again - (lol)

Glad there was a happy ending to this story!

yea the guy who tried to rob me of 20,000.00 on here ,for selling an epic that wasnt his .. who is still on here some how ... is now impersonating me on fred miranda as selling a 5d mark 3 using my red user and ebay accounts as references... luckily the fred miranda moderators noticed something odd, and asked why if hes chad in california on both other sites.. then why is he chad in augusta georgia on fred miranda .... this is the same guy who ive received multiple death threats from over the phone from blocked numbers , the other members emailing me to ask if i was selling this camera , is how i found out. its up to all of us to watch out for each other. thats very uplifting for me to hear that you received help via authorities. . ive had no-one help me catch this guy even with me having multiple witnesses who came forward , as almost being taken by him.. so for my dilligence to not see others ripped off , i have received death threats and had my posts deleted. but i wont quit, i would have been financially ruined had i lost 20,000 + cash . and id hate to see that happen to anyone

One more time, technology helped on catch the bad guys. I am very happy for the people of Boston. Good job BPD and FBI!.

After the Sunday night party at NAB my iPhone was stolen, and I was able to track it into the Vegas ghetto before they turned it off... I filed a police report but that wasn't gonna do much, so I just went and pounded on the door until they gave it back. Not quite as Epic as your story (capitalized for obvious pun) but I was feeling pretty pumped after.

As far as tracking devices go, I got one on eBay a while back that would use SMS messages and only start sending them when the device is moved - so you just fill it with enough prepaid minutes and don't have to pay month-to-month.
