  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Red just erased my thread about a scammer : Ryan Boyer.

Genuine Redusers are great. But the secondhand camera market has definitely now attracted scammers, thieves and other criminal attention.

ALWAYS DO YOUR HOMEWORK on ANY buyers or sellers - it's usually not that hard to work out if someone is genuine as their Reduser history, posts and/or Ebay presence is a fairly good indicator. Also ask for details about items for sale, photographs of the actual items (with a name of the seller in shot on a piece of paper if really unsure), contact details and address (which I google). Their email address often includes their company website which I check out. Sometimes if I need more reassurance I'll ask if it's OK to buy by cash on collection (doesn't matter if you're abroad - just say you have a friend local to the buyer who will be coming to get it) - if not then it doesn't prove anything either way, but if the seller says "Sure, no problem" that's a good sign.

Of course PayPal is a Buyers friend, but heavily biased against Sellers!
 
He was trying with me also, List of equipments with EpicX and too good to be true price. So i cross checked with red transfer for verification of ownership. Hew is not the real owner of the camera and didn't say anything. There was threat started earlier abt him and also got deleted.
 
If there is a legal matter on foot, adverse publicity could be used to harm a prosecution.
 
I was started the tread about this scammer a week ago - it was deleted in an hour.
He offered me 512gb redmag for $1500:) Stupid scam
 
His account can be empty - he could withdraw funds the same day to credit card or bank account. In this case you should contact with paypal and ask them to make the refund.
 
After 10 days of paypal dispute, of course, Ryan/Gavina sent a FALSE USPS TRACKING NUMBER just the last day to have more time again !


Maybe it is just a wrong number and he sent nothing or maybe he sent an empty box ! Anyway, Ryan if you are reading this and if you did that, I will NOT take the parcel so you will NOT have my money !

I call to paypal and they ask to Ryan/Gavina to send a proof of sending ! They let them 3 DAYS to send it (or to make a false one on photoshop)


I am just FURIOUS about Paypal who plays the scammer game and this fuc%ing scammer !


PLEASE, RED CEO, create a secure plateform to sell or stop everything, each time I connect here I see a scam victim or a scammer trying to sell something.


Because of Reduser.net trade section, no one use ebay to sell red items, but it could be better to have FEEDBACK. So do a feedback section or close the section, soon, this section will be a nightmare for honnest people.
 
Someone please give this guy some money so he can shut up.

Hang in there Valentin! My heart goes out to you as I know how frustrated you feel. The best thing you can do is stay positive...WAY easier said than done I know! But life is too short to let these idiots control our happiness too!

You guys , this guy almost got me for 20,000 + for an epic .... I originally posted about this guy with 3 other witnesses.
one person insulted us and everyone got excited as we didnt like being refered to as questionable integrity , because we all were looking out for the best deal... That was unfortunate... However I have helped about 8 people not be taken by this guy. He even admitted to sending me pics from another user camera .... With. His card photoshopped into the pic... I have received multiple death threats over the phone from the guys posing as ryan Boyer ... He is now lurking on Fred Miranda ,......Posing as ME!!!! However it seems Fred Miranda looks out and booted " fake me "... I'm guessing he is probably on here as several different users... Please throw the book at this guy if possible .

Posing as "Ryan Boyer"? So I am guessing I am "Brian" as well.
Money goes money comes. It's not worse then getting robbed in person.

Of course Ryan/gavina sent nothing !



I call to paypal and they close the investigation : I won and will have my money back in my credit card !


So, the conclusion : remember to USE escrow service ALL THE TIME ! No bank transfer !

Make a skype conference TO SEE the items for sell, ask to the seller to do some special actions during the video conference.

Don't buy to new user, or ask to go thru ebay if the new member has a good ebay feedback (verify what he sold before)

Now, I close thise crazy story, and wait to be 100% refund for the other one (Red one MX story).
