So I'm building a small light weight rig and want to mount my LCD on the top of the body facing backwards and down.

Currently when I flip it and then flip the video/UI in the settings it flips everything perfect accept the image is how do you say... When I pan left the images moves left? So say like an object that is on the left side of the camera appears on the right side of the camera on the screen. Is there anyway to remedy this?

I could probably get used to it but it defiantly throws me off.

Am I doing something wrong?

I don't think anything is going to change until they fix this in a future firmware. I wanted to do the same with my LCD but I just abandoned trying to work this way. Unless you are working on a locked off shot this is useless. I guess my human brain can't process that I am working backwards fast enough when I am trying to film while tracking something.

Wow... I haven't tried it yet, but that is really dumb... How is flipping the screen useful if it doesn't flip horizontally as well...?

Bummer,

I would like to run my viewfinder just like the picture above. Hope this is something Red can work on soon.

This current flip is actually quite good if you use the screen facing foward towards your actor, then he / she can see them selfs like in a mirror. For everything else it's kind of useless. But I thought the latest release also had a flop, no?
