To say I am annoyed with my Scarlet would be an understatement.

I have two shoots lined up this week and now my Scarlet has decided to just not power up. I tried holding the power down for 30 sec. and all that does is force the fan to turn on and then go up and down in power (the fan not the camera). Yes, I have unplugged the screen, side handle, and cad. The camera just stay's dark. I barely take the thing outside... treat it like gold so it's not like it has been dropped or anything. Any ideas/suggestions? You think I'm SOL?

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Sound rough Peter. First few questions:

- How are you powering your camera?
- Have you uploaded the latest release firmware to an SSD and tried booting with that?
- Have you spoken to your Bomb Squad Rep?

Hey Phil,

-Redvolts and also gave the power cable a try.
-I haven't, giving that a go now.
-I made a ticket but have not heard anything back yet.

Thank you for suggesting the firmware... here is to praying that works.

What monitor? If it's the old 5.6", try pushing the power button on the top of the screen when it's doing that fan-cycle thing. Also try to find a RED friend locally and use their accessories. If you send in your Brain, and it's not the cause of the problem, RED will send it back saying it's "A-Ok!" and it still won't work. Could be something as stupid as a power cable or monitor cable.

No third party accessories. My monitor is the 5' touch. Tried everything... I think I am out of luck. :(

How long does this process typically take?

Ughhhhh!!!!
