  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hopefully the Longest shot taken on RED Epic for a feature film

Hi All,

Find below the link for the Song (Music Video) shot for a feature film called AMEN (Malayalam language film) by Abinandhan Ramanujam (DP) who is my brother.

Note : It could be hopefully the longest shot taken on a RED Epic camera (00:02:59), it comes for 00:03:10 in the movie.

It was Shot with Ultra prime 10mm lens on the EPIC.

Hello Ralph,

Thank you for the noticing the Steadicam Op's work and your comments.

Getting into the boat while on the move was last minute improvization by the DP. It has come out well.

Great knowing that it is up to international standards and audience does recognize the work !

It was rehearsed for 3 days and shot several times in Hand-held mode, at last Steadicam was used to capture the footage finally.

Ive wanted to do a continuous shot short film for awhile perhaps one day when my epic is up and running ^_^ 2 more parts!!!!

Thats quite short...

We done 11 something minutes one shot takes for Roy Andersens next feature.... on epic, release date 2014 something... and I have not even counted how many layers there is in the 4k scene...

superb song man... also loved the movie... watched it in trivandrum... your bro's cinematography and the look he's given to the movie is fabulous... is he working on lijo's next movie disco??
 
I gaffed a 1 shot feature on epic called "Somebody Marry Me" Directed by John Asher, DP Graham Futerfus. 1 shot, no cuts, 1 hr 38 minutes. Multiple location moves. With sync sound.
