I conducted several days of sit down interviews and have a random single clip in the middle of my interview that appears to have no audio. The clip on either side has audio and of the entire interview this is the only clip without audio. Again this was a sit down running a 416 shotgun through a Sound Devices 302. Nothing changed with the setup, just stopping and starting roll to have individual clips. Can't see audio in RedcineX. Is there any way to make sure if it's there? Is this a common "glitch". Haven't everhad it before on our rig.
Thanks

I had the same thing happen to me on a shoot a month ago. One clip out of 30 or so had no audio. We hadn't changed any settings. Turned the camera off a few times to save batteries, that was it. And this is the only time this has happened. Was using Build V3.3.14, running a shotgun mic straight into the camera with the XLR Microphone Cable.

Don't know if this had anything to do with it, but was a weird happening earlier in the day: I was running the camera off one of the Wooden Camera batteries, and I could not get audio to work at all. No signal, nothing! Finally, I switched to a RED Brick, and all was fine (except for the one clip that happened much later in the day). Never had that problem before either, so not sure what happened. Needless to say, that WC battery will only be used on other gear from now on.

I also seen the epic do weird things when power is low. To me it seams like it's shutting down parts of the camera before it actually complains about low power. This is nothing I got confirmed from red just my assumptions. Only happened when using the Pro I/O fro me.

Also, those connections for the audio can be flaky on the camera. You need to monitor the audio with headsets or look for the meters. Changing the battery cold have knocked it back into place. Definitely not as bad as the earlier builds where you had to disconnect and reconnect the audio plugs to engage the audio.
