i am planing to do my grading for my feature film in resolve lite in 27" new i mac in 1080 hd without calibrated monitor initially for grades, power windows, tracking and geometry
then planing to take the entire project in professional resolve suite for calibrated monitor viewing and 2kfilm dpx for DCP.
my question is it is possible to run the same project file(1080 hd settings) in resolve full version @ 2k film output settings? if so, will the geometry and tracks and power windows will automatically sit in place ? or i need to re adjust them or re scale them for 2k output?
my source is 4k .r3d from scarlet
thank u

If you want to finish at 2K, it's best to grade at 2K timeline resolution.

Having said that, the windows etc should track as you change system resolutions.

Yeah, we just output a 4k short for the Shot on Red Festival. I graded the whole thing at HD and then just set the deliverable output to 4k. If you grade at a higher res than HD then your monitoring is going to be cropped on any HD-SDI output and performance will take a hit.
