  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Arri Zeiss Master Prime 100mm has joined the family, looking forward to film some great images on both RED EPIC Camera, M8 and Mr. Monochrome... ;)

Thanks Andreas, it sure is, and also my mot favorite focal, images coming soon, shot both on M8 and on Mr. Monochrome, awaiting to see the unseen as this lens paired with the Monochrome sensor, brings the unreal Sharpness and detail like nothing seen before in B&W... ;)
 
Hey Ketch. I know your're a busy man, but any idea when part 5 of your Brazilian Workshop and more BTS/educational videos are going to be posted? I always find these videos that you do interesting.

Hey Robert, the guys in Brazil have been extremely busy since I left them with their own Epic and then the Red Brazilian Film festival got them even busier, but it should be done shortly, and I'll be sure to also post it here when it goes live.

Are these made out of hard plastic? The scale ring looks plastic.

Hehehe Ketch, you and your toys.... big up! I'm full of envy... ;)

But maybe I'll get to enjoy to shooting with you one day. Looking forward to it.

Will,

the Arri Zeiss Master Primes, are the most well built lenses I have ever used to date, and no parts are made out of Hard Plastic, other then the Back and Front Lens Caps, then there is the user removable Focus Rubber Ring which is made out of Elastic Soft Rubber, to allow for comfortable Manual focusing of the lens, one of the feature of how this lenses are built that I really love, since i do lots of Manual focusing directly on the lens, instead of using a Focusing Gear, below you can see the lens without the Rubber Focus Ring, which I removed, but under it the re is pure solid metal as for the entirety of the lens, this is why it is so heavy, beside the fact of having so much glass of course... ;)

The entire Focus Ring is in fact an other very cool PLUS of this lenses as it is also user removable and can be fliped to allow both Metric and Imperial Scale, and it is also of course made of Metal.

Well, yes, especially since we might soon become neighbors with just the Alps being our only separation, if I do ending up moving and opening the Film School for KETCH ROSSi HUMANiTAS in Northern Italy... ;)

Thanks Robert, and I am very pleased to tell you that the guys are working on it to get it done shortly... And with the final vamping of our site, will have a ton of Videos and BTS material to enjoy, so stay tuned for more to come... LOTS MORE... ;)

I believe that as soon as the legal end of things will allow us to do so, the announcement of this new School will go to change lives of so many world wide, it will be a true pleasure to just be part of it all, and this community of course will get priority for the first Scholarships.
