Hi Hugh, I think there's something to do with variable frame rates that causes some problem because it's the same (infuriatingly!) on the Varicam - you can have pre-record on 25P but not in variable frame rate (ie native recording so when you view it it's in slow motion or whatever). And yet you can do it in 60P mode so it's obviously not simply to do with the amount of frames, more the process that produces the native slow motion.

I thought that I'd jump back in, boot up the old thread, and ring the bell once more for the pre-record function request. I know the Red team has lots on their plate but man this would be a killer addition to an already amazing Epic. Thanks for listening Red team.

Yes this feature would be an awesome addition, especially since we can't really delete clips in camera! Suffice to say it would limit a lot of media and missed opportunity worries!
