  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Does switching resolution throw the screen into a panic?

When I switch resolutions on my Scarlet, my monitor looks like this. There is ~1 second of completely scrambled video. Is this normal? It's fine if it is normal, I've just seen footage of folks changing resolutions without this scrambled monitor.

Since there are probably going to be a lot of new Scarlet and Epic users at these new prices, I think Red should quickly build into build 4 a black screen with red text "please wait' instead of the scramble. I'm sure that throws a lot of people the first time they see it.

I thought this was odd but since it didn't cause any issues I never worried about it. But I agree with Louis, there should be something in the next build that is not as wacky.

Very unlikely to happen - the disturbance is due to the monitor having to lock up to a different resolution. That can't happen instantaneously. A black caption screen would just delay the lock up to a new resolution.
