I'm beginning to suspect the upgrade path from Scarlet to Dragon is: Sell Scarlet-> buy Epic-> Get in the back of a massive line -> ? -> Profit

Yep, time to sell Scarlet and buy an Epic. Less than idea given mine is only 1.5 months old.
Ah well.
Dude why not use it and make some magic then but another EPIC as a B cam![]()
Any chance you'll let in on how many MX's there are?
Financially one camera is what's in my future. I'd rather it be epic, and I could really use the higher frame rates for the material I'm shooting.
I think a lot of us Scarlet guys are thinking the same thing, I just don't see much of a market for resale scarlets since we don't know what(if?) are upgrade path is. For me, if i could return in my scarlets and pay current price for the epic but have the upgrade to the dragon included ... that would be great. When will Red now what/if the upgrade path is so i can plan out my budget a bit?Yep, time to sell Scarlet and buy an Epic. Less than idea given mine is only 1.5 months old.

Ye Gods.
How long does it take you to earn $20k with your Scarlet?! That's what's up. Get out and get paid and make money!

Jim, Jarred, RED Team,
does END OF LIFE for RED ONE mean that no repairs are possible in future?
Just to understand what you add to that formula?
If it is the case, it might be useful for young starters to understand, when deciding the pro's and con's regarding SCARLET vs. RED ONE M-X BT.
Cheers,
Axel
Uhhhh
$7950 * .02 = $160
$19,000 / $160 = 118 days
Best case scenario if it rented *solid* starting today...
118 / 3 day weeks / 3 week months = a little over a year if someone rented non-stop and it never broke for a year.
Yeah. Not going to happen.
