Shot some tests with Red Europe's demo unit this morning. Not been able to process the material yet, but the advantage was apparent side-by-side with an Epic-X even on the LCD screen. ISO starts from 800 and is amazingly clean at 2000. Tonal representation is clearly improved, as is sharpness. Just need the appropriate RCX to check out the material properly now!

Nice man. Considering that it is, atleast for now, quite low in supply I think it would be fair if you would ask for more. I hope I manage to fool atleast some of my clients into the BW hole. Cant imagine what this camera can do, 2000 iso native with such gradients is mad.

I figure there's no need to gouge people, the game is long enough and its going to stay a low volume camera IMHO. A lot of the market for monochrome will be at the indie level and they deserve not to be priced away from experimenting. At this Price it also gives people the scope to make it not the only camera on set. Anyway, I'd be glad to put it in your hands, so keep in touch

Some excellent test results.

And now, just like RED, we're charging less again. We want this camera to get dirty and make pictures

Hi John. Would be great to play with it. Let me know if you are going to be in town, although it would be good to shoot something creatively rather than just some random shots.
