Could be anywhere in the world today.
This is kind of old now... but still probably one of the most beautiful films ever made in our time.

I just wish he would re-shoot this on RED... so I could see it all again in pin sharp real life 5k.

Enjoy.

I actually worked with Gregory and we where actually shooting RED ONE and making a virtual tour thing around his paintings and his museum in Mexico City. This was pre MX time and allready then Gregory got seriously interested in the camera and wanted to take it on a helicopter expedition right away. So I think he is probably using an epic today for his future work. Unfortunately our little VR tour around his art (the biggest project I ever been involved in) got shut down mid 2008 by Rolex that was financing it all due to the financial crisis they freezed all their Art sponsoring, where Gregory was their big player.

I very much think his work is outstanding in his field and apparently other thinks the same... in mexico I think 12 million people visited the Nomadic museum during a period of 3 or 4 months. The line outside went a few laps around the central park with a width of 20 people...day and night.

The rumor says that he has sold so many of his big picture prints for so much money that he is the number one selling artist alive. In fact he has made more than twice the amount of the guy who is number two in that league.... Art should not be weighted in profit but still I find that quite remarkable.

Also Gregory Colbert is a super nice guy, wish he joined this forum since I think he has some epics and if he does not have one I will definitely convince him to buy one next time I get in contact with him or his producer :)

I saw his exhibition in Santa Monica few years ago.
i bought the Snow & Ashes DVD from the exhibit.
since then, whenever. Have people in my house the video will play in the background.
the 50" plasma becomes magnet and pulls every one to the screen.
mesmerizing visual.

Thank you Mark, this is what inspiring means.
