Hi!

After a friend approached me with the idea of doing a fashion clip just for the sake of it
I got excited and a few days later a team was assembled. Two young Estonian
Fashion Designers came up with a concept around recycling fashion and
A young musician composed the music.
I participated in the project as DP/Director/Editor/Colorist. It's Shot in XL Studios in Tallinn.

Enjoy!

Wow! That was really cool. Thanks Martin.

A lot of beautiful cinematography. A little long for the average viewer to stay interested, IMO.

I agree, a bit too long for my taste too, but good art direction and cinematography.
Sorry, if this sounds a bit harsh, but you had said, that grading was done "poor man" style in AE due to the workflow. It's unfortunate, as this decision to use software not quite suitable for the job undermines the whole idea of fashion video, where the look is probably one of the most important considerations...
I can't understand why for color grading people still insist on using anything beside the Resolve Lite. It is a real professional color grading software, that is free. Use it...

Hi Jack!

I understand your comment and would also agree on it - I usually use color to grade and I also take more time for it. The time constrains and the unfortunate workflow didn't allow it. I set up resolve several month ago but I didn't have time to figure out why it re-links the files with wrong timecode/portions.
The grade for this project happened 2 hours before the screening. I work in Helsinki and the screening took place in Tallinn - so it felt like in the good old times when i had to shoot some graphics to the 6pm news on TV :).
If anyone is interested in grading this we can hook up - I could do it myself but I don't want to invest time in the moment.

It's Jake-:)
If you couldn't figure out the conform issue, you still could render your timeline as a Prores 444, import it into Resolve and use it's auto detect function to cut the timeline into the scenes. Better yet, export EDL and use it to cut the timeline with. Then you could use Resolve to grade and would still ended up with better result, than using AE. And much faster too:-)
Do you have a full Resolve or Resolve Lite? If you have a real Resolve, I can help you out with the grade remotely...
