REDucation X about to launch in Hollywood.

Just a quick heads up to everyone that we are taking the next steps in our continuing education options.

For those that don't know yet, We are starting a 3 month, highly specialized movie school here at RED Studios Hollywood, with all the knowledge and expertise of industry professionals working day in and day out with RED ONE, EPIC and SCARLET cameras, and driving projects through post for TV and the Big Screen. They will be giving some of their time and brains back to a group of students from all over the world, ready to dive into the deep end of the pool with RED for a few months!

The class starts Oct. 1st and we have one student slot left in the first class of 15 students (we are keeping the class very small, as the students will all be producing, shooting and posting multiple projects during their time with us). So if anyone else wants to join us, email reducation@red.com and we can let you know if the last slot is full.

Should be a really interesting experience to run this modern version of a film school for the first time, we are all pretty excited about it. The students, our staff and myself will, I'm sure, be updating on the goings on as things get ramped up. We will have the student projects online and arrange an invitation 4k screening at the studio when projects are completed.

That's a good point you bring up - this is really camp RED for grown ups (or at least people like me that simply refuse to grow up
3 months working with EPICs, SCARLETs, High end Post gear for editing, and true Cinema DI grading. Screening your work in a giant 4k movie theater, learning from those that shoot with our gear on big movie and TV projects all around the world, immerse yourself in the real movie making biz for 3 months and have a ton of fun working with the most sophisticated and advanced Cinema cameras in the world - what other film school in the world gets to do that?
(actually there is a film school in Quatar I gave a speech at that has 7 REDs and shoots all their school projects on them... that's a pretty amazing school!)

REDucation-X Begins...

Students dove right in today during RED's new REDucation-X school program, which is an extended 4 month intensive film school held at RED Studios Hollywood.
