Hi there,
On a shoot today, after a few takes on an establishing dolly, the Epic suddenly powered down and wouldn't boot back up. Immediately began trouble shooting, held the power button for 15 seconds (several times obviously) all we got was the red light turning amber and the fan turning at slow speed. Initially had it on the quad battery module, removed it, tried a fully charged volt in the side handle, same result. Switched to Red Bricks, same. Switched to AC, same. Pretty confident it's not a power issue. Stripped the camera down, attempting to boot from AC after removing side handle, touch screen and Canon mount, just trying to isolate the issue. Holding the power button down for a slightly longer period gets the fan to kick into high for about five seconds, but then reverts back to slow speed and the amber light remains during this process. Attempted a forced upgrade on the firmware after formatting the SSD using the Mac's disk utility - didn't get far enough into the boot process to read the SSD. I've got a lot of time on the Epic and am very familiar with the system, but at this point feeling like I've exhausted the possible variables, does anyone have any suggestions?
