I have a 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB that I would consider trading for a Red camera kit of equal value.

This car was fully restored, then vandalized by neighbors. It is in need of fresh paint and a little TLC, but would be a great classic Ferrari project to add to your garage. I can not keep the car as I live next door to a low income high rise with neighbors who resent the fact that I own a Ferrari. If you are interested in picking up a classic Ferrari, and getting rid of one of your Red camera kits, drop me a line.

Not interested in a Red One M.

Thanks!

Dave

Post some pics/specs I am interested...

Here are a few when the car had seen better days.
I have complete photos of doing all the work on this car myself. From replacing the carpet kit interior, to completely disassembling the suspension, media blasting the chassis, undercoating and repainting all components, replacing all suspension bushings, adding fully adjustable racing suspension, lightweight aluminum racing radiator, so forth so on.

I fell ill a few years back requiring 3 operations, and while I was unable to care for the car I had it stored at what I thought was a class facility. Once I recovered I brought the car out of storage to find the seats rotted as well as other indiscretions which really pissed me off. At any rate, I put my seat covers on and started getting the car ready for what I think is one of the best Ferrari driving events in the US, the Crescent Classic. With weeks away from the event, a psycho neighbor shot my dog over 30 times with a high power pellet gun. The next day he shot the driver side window out of the Ferrari and shot up the paint. Every time I start working on the car trying to repair any vandalism, friends of the Psycho who still live next door retaliate by throwing stuff over the fence trying to do more damage to this fine car. I need to find her a new home away from ass holes. I have spare parts pkg including extra clutch and such. Here are a few shots of her now.

This car is a 1977 308 GTB. It does not use a cat, and has the higher lift cams before the big drop in HP in 1978 and 1979 due to changing smog regs. It is a carb car with 4 twin webers, and a stainless steel Tubi competition exhaust. It sounds incredible! The car has been lightened by using modern components giving it a better power to weight ratio than stock. I had installed new cam belts and bearings before the incident. I updated the ignition to a modern electronic ignition for reliability. This car was not intended for show, but I did everything possible to make it a very fun and reliable daily driver.

What your Dog was shot over 30 times by a psycho neighbor, and your car keeps getting trashed? Jeez David, you must have the patience and tolerance of the Dali Lama.

Really sad about your dog man...you need to move. Hope it works out for you.

Dog got better, he is a very stout Cane Corso. Psycho neighbor is now dying in hospice care. Karma is a bitch. His friends started stalking me, so I got my concealed carry and wear a .45acp. We live in the historic district in a Victorian we restored and love the neighborhood, except for this HUD low income high rise eye sore. It has some really nice retirees, as well as sick ass druggie bastards living there.

Dave is an amazing guy, a very talented/Experienced Commercial Filmmaker and a GREAT Voice Over Artist! We worked together for 4 years and I learned so much from him. Gracious, generous with his time and very patient. I really miss working with him... If you are interested in this trade then please do so with great confidence and make a great friend too!

Many years ago, I lived in the same neighborhood where David lives... Beautiful 19th and 20th Century Mansions surrounded by some serious gangbangers (Look up the HBO Doc "Bangin' in Little Rock" for an idea of what he is dealing with...). David and his Wife saved that house where they currently reside, moving is not the easy answer. A lot of love and $$$ went into saving a piece of history.

I am really sorry that this happening to David, he is a great friend and I am terribly sorry to hear that this IS STILL going on. :(

PS-I have in been that Ferrari and it IS A BLAST to ride in! Thank you David! :)

Man you should sue those guys for damaging such a beautiful car!!! That thing is a work of art!

So sorry to hear about your stressful living conditions David. No one should have to put up with that. Best of luck and hope it improves.

Hum... Interesting project...

David.... When I saw the first pictures of the car I was ready to drop my whole SCARLET kit worth that I bought for $30,000 give or take some change.... Then I saw the pictures of it now.... I'm sorry that happened man.

To be honest, I have more into the car in upgrades alone than the cost of your Scarlet pkg.
Starting to have second thoughts about trading for a Red Kit.

I dunno, if the neighbor resents you owning a Ferrari, instead of shooting your dog with a pellet gun and trashing your car he might just go ballistic (pardon the pun) and use higher ballistics on you personally... for owning a Scarlet or Epic pkg. Unless he (or she) was just too dumb to know what status that ownership implies.

All joking aside, bad neighbors can really make life more difficult than it should be. For your sake, I hope either you or your neighbor can hit the lottery and move.

edit: just read more posts and understand the problem continues even with the neighbor in hospice, and that moving from your house is probably not an option due to property love. Hope it all somehow works out well.
