..while I still operate as a one man show, and don't have a PR team yet, and will not have one till next year.

I'll be launching 4 Web Sites.

I currently have created Facebook fan pages for each one, plus I have my own personal facebook, and also a tweeter account.

The question for which I seek advise for is the following.

Should I keep a Facebok fan page for each of the sites or should I build a new Facebook fan page as KETCH ROSSi and post every single update about all that I'm doing there?

The Pro I see in having each their own page is that each page will update only those that subscribe there with interest to that specific content.

The Pro I see in having a single new FAN page were to post all info about all my projects is that this way people interested in all that I'm doing don't have to join all the different pages and get updates for all the different pages.

Your shared opinion at this time is truly appreciated.

My opinion is just stick to one Facebook page. Multiple for me always get confusing, plus i think the most people (like me) want to keep informed about all that you are doing. I would however have a separate page for the movie.

Ridley Scott & Associates twitter account is a great example of how they promote all of their films under one name.

Anyways that my two cents for what it is worth :-).

Keep up the awesome work! Always love your stuff and opinion.

Thanks Jacob,

yes definitely the MOvie Page would be separate, but i listed as to show how many I already have set up, 7.. :(

SO I would prefer to have current personal page, a KETCH ROSSi Fan Page, for all the info about my projects, and then one per each Movie as they get rolling, if it makes sense... ;)

Ketch,

For what its worth, I say keep everything under one site. That way, you only have one site to maintain - keeps your focus on the main thing of creating. Plus, if you update with other stuff, it starts spreading the word out and still only one site.

Steve, this was about the Facebook Fan pages, were to either have one per each of the sites, or Just One for all of them, exception for the Movie sites which will each have their own.

But what are you saying here is also to only have only ONE WEB SITE?

Ketch,

Jacob is right. I would go for just a single Facebook page too. Most of the people following one project can be (and you want people to get interested about multiple projects you do, right? not just a one..) also interested in other projects and it's much easier (I'm not saying it's not possible with multiple pages) for you now to show and introduce people to all the stuff you are doing by having everybody on one Facebook page. For users (well, at least for me) it's also way simplier to just subscribe to single page and for your 'one man show' it's simplier to manage (and get relevant global statistics for everything you do) single page right now.

and of course.. do the RAPE of a BEAUTY as separate one..

Thanks Marek, much appreciate your advise.

Social media is new and constantly evolving. There are many ways to do it, some more successful than others, but it largely depends on how you execute your PR/marketing campaign.

Are you considering taking on an intern?

It is Indeed Patrick.

We'll have to create a PR team by no later then next year do to the large number of things happening, but I have been thinking about taking in an intern, just not sure how to go about it yet.

Here's my advice. DON'T INVEST TOO MUCH TIME IN FACEBOOK I don't think anyone on this forum has more understanding than me about social media I have over 140,000 followers on twitter and 62,000 on instagram and I know one of the hardest things to do is getting people to like a Facebook fan page what I would do is create one regular Facebook page with all you photos and videos and info. Invest your time in twitter and when you have some new tweet a link directing people to Facebook where they can view the information. But in order to do this properly you need to get your numbers up on twitter

This is 100% true. It can be done right in many ways and also wrong in many ways. There should be a deep thought about the campaign strategy, about the whole process now and in the future..

And as Ibrahim said above.. don't forget about Twitter.. but Twitter needs completely different approach..

Thanks guys,

this is a temporary thing for me, as I will soon have a team to take care of things, but till then, I fill is necessary not to stay put and do nothing, so I want to do the best that I can mean while.

My bad Ketch.

What I meant was one Facebook page for everything, then run the Facebook page for "RAPE OF A BEAUTY" separately.

I think each of the projects should have there own website, but if you can tie the backend of the websites into one system, it would make it easier to update.

Facebook pages = one page for all the projects except "ROAB" which should have its own Facebook page.

Websites = each project has their own identity

:))

He he I guess we think alike on this one.

Even so each site has its own back end, they are all tied in one to an other... ;)

Soon I'll bring them love and you see what I mean, together with my Big announcement... ;)

My opinion, for what its worth, is to have ONE Facebook page for you; and one for each film; which all connect to ONE website for you. But each URL (www.rapeofabeauty.com) points back to YOUR main webpage (ketch.com) but a different section of your webpage via URL redirection. That way, you just have ONE real website, with a section per site, which has URLs that direct to elements (parts of pages) so once you change content in one spot, it changes content in other parts automatically.

For example, you use blogspot to blog about your filming, or use Tweetdeck or hoot suite; that content is also framed in (but technically via a CRM) to change on all of your other pages. That way each is its own entity, but the content is repurposed so you only have to do one new blog entry.

Does this make sense? Its easier to just diagram. But like with hoot suite, you get to update multiple things simultaneously with just ONE entry. So my point is if you use a CRM, then the CRM does all the updates for you in multiple places, because each webpage is just pulling feeds/data from other pages. And there are many free versions to get started.

Here is my best suggestion of a CRM type company that VISUALLY explains it better than I. << http://www.squarespace.com/ >> WATCH the VIDEO, very visual makes it easy to do, and you can focus on your content, photos etc and not the website code.

Happy to answer details to explain it better via email or phone.

BTW: have won several website design competitions; but I am not that active anymore as I am trying to be more involved in film recently.

As always thanks for your contributions here on reduser and nice to meet you out at NAB.

To use one of my favorite mantras: "Keep it simple, stupid" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KISS_principle ;-)

Don't kill yourself trying to update multiple pages. When the projects mature and there's plenty of free hands, let them worry about updating the multiple websites, blogs, facebook pages, twitter accounts and so on and focus on what you do best, Ketch ;-)

It may be easier if you think of your world like a corporation (or mother)
Ketch Rossi is the Company (or matriarch) same as The Coca-Cola Company or BMW. Each having it's own identity.
Each of your 'sites' or projects is an individual brand of the company (or children). Coke, Diet Coke, Fanta, Sprite ~ Tree of Life, Industries, Studios, etc. Each of these will have its own identity, while remaining true to the parent. You film is a product of Studios, but will have it's own identity with a strong connection to Studio and higher.

One word of advice, make sure it is PR you need and not Promotions or a Marketing firm. Mind you, I don't know all the details of your plans, so please take this all with good intention.

To answer your original question, definitely multiple pages (& multiple sites). Imagine this forum as a FB page, with no hierarchy of topics and threads. All content streaming under one feed. Recon and Accessories and Workflow and Complaints mashed together would be a horrible mess.

I would be cautious about fragmenting your "brand" so that means one FB page. As Ibrahim has recommended Twitter is more "active" it is not passive like FB. Start Tweeting then direct followers to FB for visual updates on what you tweeted......... after all I assume you work in a visual business ; ) .
