Gents,

This year, like last, the good folks of Landmine Media are sending a small "team" to NAB to cover the show highlights. Hopefully this will give those who can't be there in person a chance to see some of the latest gear and tech at the show. And with NAB right around the corner, I thought I'd open up a topic to ask REDUser Nation…

What would you like to see? What interests you this year? What would you like us to cover (either with a video clip or a post)?

Let us know what you want to see, keep it concise and to the point, and we'll add it to our list of stuff to cover at the show!

Cheers!

SM

I always love to see the little sessions with Matt on new products, accessories, and how they all build together on the cameras. Plus any other goodies you can show us!

Thanks for doing this.

Red booth overview: extensive interview with Ted (or anyone in the know there) explaining each of the products on show in detail, from the new sensor, the new modules, the 4K projectors, etc.)

Red News in Post- any new partners or features?

Support equipment for Red Epic

Any new and interesting modules from 3rd parties, audio modules, etc.

Any new breakthrough in external recorders would also be interesting.

Another + 1 for CS6, but please ask if there are any upgrade paths for CS 5.5 users. If possible, an extensive interview of how Red and CS6 will interact in each program (photoshop, after effects, premiere, media encoder, etc.) . Please ask specificaly about using Red Raw and if there are improvements in the manipulation of those.

If Apple goes showcasing a FCPX update, try to see if they have anything to say about Red and r3d support. Also a bit of wishful thinking, but about a new Macpro? :)

Any new thunderbolt devices, fast HDD drives, affordable would be great- looking for interesting archiving solutions for Red Footage

Would also be good to see if there are any covers, sleeves and bags designed specifically with the Epic/Scarlet in mind: from rain covers to shoulder bags to backpacks it would be great to have a small overview of what is there on offer in this particular area. Its something we don't normally see in these showcases but its something we all end up needing!

Another field I'm really interested in is in Portable lighting- as in lights that don't require AC operation and can be operated by batteries. A good report on what is there on the lighting front would be very interesting!

That's all I can think of right now. Just food for thought!

I'm keeping notes on what everyone wants to see, so keep them coming!

And remember, it doesn't have to be from RED. It could be lenses, support gear, lighting, anything! Just post it here and we'll do our best to cover it for you.

Great, I'm really bummed I can't make the trip this year. Would love to hear all about Adobe CS6, Everything Red of course, but am also very curious about Wooden Camera's new shoulder rig as well and how it feels/operates.

Here's what i wanna see:
All things red. Kessler new moco system "fusion". Other "4k" cams. Cs6. Any new wireless ff and wireless hd systems. New production field monitors.

It would be great to see high speed data archiving solutions. A closet full of hard drives with 5 year old r3d's seems like a bad way to store original material. Any new technology on the horizon?

New RED PRO PRIMES Lenses, hopefully smart lenses, lighter and can change mounts when needed. If they have motors in them also cool too, if the REDmote PRO comes out with it.
