So I've been having some wonky issues with my touchscreen not responding promptly... consequently I inadvertently locked out the touchscreen while attempting to access the menu Icon
So my next thought was that if I upgrade the firmware (currently v1.7.10) to v3.0.0 that some of these issues will hopefully disappear...
Unfortunately, in the firmware upgrade instructions, it firmly states:
"IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE BATTERIES TO POWER CAMERA DURING THIS PROCEDURE."
I can't quite get my head around that one... Unless of course you happen to be using a low battery and it dies before the upgrade can complete itself and corrupts the OS...
Unfortunately, I don't have a wall power for it at the moment, but I am still curious as to why this is...
TYIA!!!
EDIT: No RedMote or Sidehandle
