I'm considering using the A-mount on my Epic to use Nikon glass. Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks!

Have you used it with nikon lenses? Does it feel solid?

With the A mount system, do you have to physically replace the nikon mount on each nikon lens you plan to use with the system with the A system nikon mount? Doesn't that turn out to be rather expensive?

That's exactly my concern. The system consists of the 1)A-mount, which is a universal mount, 2) Epic/Scarlet Mount Base, and 2)the Nikon adapter.
Now, someone here told me that you have to have an adapter for every lens; that's not only inconvenient, but at $180 a pop, expensive as well. Can anyone clarify this?
You can go that route if you're rich, sure. I have 10+ Nikon lenses and bought a single Nikon F adapter for the RED ONE A-mount. Moving the adapter from one lens to another takes seconds. This is a non-issue, if you ask me.Are you saying that it's indeed an adapter, and I would need one for every lens I intend to use?
Whoa, wait a second... I was under the impression that the "Nikon F adapter" was a nikon mount that was secured into the A-mount, and then you can mount and unmount your nikon glass into it like you would any other nikon camera.
Are you saying that it's indeed an adapter, and I would need one for every lens I intend to use? I was hoping to buy the epic mount base, the A-mount, and then one of each lens adapter and be set for life. If I have to buy adapters for every lens then this would indeed be a more expensive proposition than the prolock.
