I think you can upload them on Flickr and embed the pictures right into the post.

Yeah, I've declicked both my Nikon AI-S lenses and my ZFs. The only lens that gave me trouble was my 105mm 2.5 Nikon. Otherwise, you slowly unscrew the mount, pull it off, and pull off the aperture ring. Either it's basically de-clicked at that very moment (ZFs) or you unscrew a tiny little piece of metal from the body (Nikons) and they are de-clicked. I wouldn't mess with zoom lenses without reading a tutorial, but the primes really are childs play.

did you lubricate your Nikons aperture ring or was taking out the little piece of metal enough?

I've seen and played around with those sweet Prime Circle lenses earlier today, and talked to the guy who actually designed them.
I'm not a huge fan of DSLRs, but these lenses are definitely interesting. They are Zeiss lenses modded and re-housed. They have a user inter-changeable lens mount (Canon/Nikon), a VERY solid metal housing, and they have focus scale and aperture ring turned 90° to camera left, i.e. to the operator/assistant side. A very easy and elegant solution for Assistants/Focus Pullers who have cursed DSLR and non-cine lenses since the very beginning of that "revolution".
They looked better than CP2s to my eye, though I didn't test a whole set in proper conditions, but the fact that one of the biggest rental houses in LA has already ordered 20 complete sets of those says something about them. Prices are very, very interesting and waiting time to delivery is expected to be around 4 weeks.
I'm not incredibly happy to work with DSLRs, but these lenses would definitely make a job easier (and as far as I can tell, better, "image quality"-wise).

Just my 2€cents...

Fair enough. Just seems odd that a lens everyone wants to try but nobody seems to have had their hands on aside from your good self has sold 20 full kits to a top rental house despite nobody knowing if there's a market for them - you think all parties involved would be shouting from the rooftops and incentivise people to go check them out.

Ben, I totally understand the skepticism, and I'm sure the parties involved (i.e. rental houses) will indeed have a chance to show those lenses properly when they arrive. I don't have a horse in this race, I'm not even in the market for buying lenses (I usually rent), I was just writing about my (too short) first-hand experience. I'm sure there will be plenty of tests and videos online once they start shipping them.

I apologize again for not wanting to name the "big" one I'm referring to, it's not like I've signed a NDA or something, it's just that I don't want to put myself in a position where I may cause problems to them. I hope you understand.

Has anyone had their hands on these yet? any feedback?

Aren't ZF's and CP2s optically identical?

Yes the optics are the same, but CP2s are supposed to get the "best" glass at the factory...and they have many more iris blades (14 as opposed to 9?)...so the BOKEH on CP2's is much rounder.

I'm not a huge fan of super neat round bokeh, but there you have it.

Here, so you avoid the need to go thru all the steps outside REDUSER just to find out pricing, I have not tested this lenses, and even so I sen them briefly din't even piked them up as I was carrying load of stuff when I came across, and then never got back to it, I do believe that for the price this could actually serve some one well, just need ot see image quality they produce and if the markings are properly done.

Contact your Italian collegue Filippo Chiesa, he knows the creator and the lenses...
