I think it just means "original" as in Red one and not the upcoming Epic version or third party.

Original Nikon Mount for Red One was anodized aluminum with Nikon spring loaded mount.

Second Nikon Mount for Red One is different with positive lock stainless ring, no springs, super duper strong.

Yes, there were actually two different mounts sold by Red. See picture of second/current mount on their site.
