I got an email asking if I could put up a tutorial on using the tracker.

It is pretty straightforward and one of the easiest tools to use inside DaVinci.

Here you go:

Nice..

Thanks for this tutorial! I've been playing around with some shots in a project I'm doing for fun and they could really use the tracker, but I didn't know how easy this was until you showed me. Please keep them coming, ive found your earlier tutorials immensely helpful for resolve.

Thanks for all these tutorials. Very helpful.

+1. Thanks for the tutorials. I've been hoping for a tutorial that shows how to beautify talent in Resolve ( smooth out skin tones, soften skin, add glow to skin, etc.). Maybe in the next one? :ihih:

Great tutorial, thanks!

Quick question about track points. Have you managed to place manual track points in the Viewer without a control surface?

The manual states (on page 305), "Lets you use the cursor using the DaVinci Resolve control surface, to manually place individual tracking points, one by one, with which to track a feature."

There seems no way I can set them by using the mouse - which doesn't really make sense. Why would this only be limited to a control surface?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Mike

Gee, when I move the tracking points while using the Resolve Control Surface, I actually use a mouse! I think the manual is wrong.
