Just received their newsletter today - I believe it´s going to be a spectacular rig to work with - It´s build cleverly form a Dp´s Background.. Knowing precisly what you need in "Heat of the Moment".

Have worked on quite a few handheld job with the purpose build rig for the Epic - (The Clutch). And have been disappointed in the way that the handle´s won't keep their position - so you end using the "break´s in between takés". Fidling with the handles - instead of preparing your self to make the commerciel look better - and talk to the director - I hate those moment´s - when you are there to solve problem´s that are related to your equipment, instead of working creatively -

A little bird has just told me. That they are (Aeon Cine). Teaming up with the factory and their new news letter is strengthen the fact... that they're teaming up with a company that manufacture parts for the Rolls Royce jet engines, but thats not all. Apparently also a very famous Italian car manufacturer. That has red as their color lol. I can't wait to see this product. As it at least, must be of the highest standard.

Wuhu...

Nothing more satisfying than a really comfortable rig thats easy to adjust. I believe it will be less or same than clutch for more bits & pieces like battery plates, EVF and monitor mounts.
We shall see of course but very keen to know when and how much.

'Rosso Corsa Red' mentioned in their email is very intriguing! Though Ill take mine black :-)

And Pre NAB availability would be VERY handy :-)

If we are talking about the Titan rig, they have told me the price will be considerably less than the Clutch system...

"We announced initial prices in a news letter just before christmas. At this moment it is ranging from $3499 for a complete rig (which is all you need for a handheld solution) up to $5999 for the Ultimate solution (everything you see in this video). It might seem steep for some, but if you do the calculations and compare with others that offer similar solutions (with less features all together and you also have to pick and choose from several manufacturers to get the same result). If you do the math. You will find that we are VERY competitive. We are also figuring out other packages for people who want other configurations (for example, for them who simply just want handheld, nothing more) and we promise we won't disappoint you :)"

I hear you about having to re-adjust while client or director twiddle their thumbs. I personally find many of the new rigs over priced and overly complicated. My personal preference are either O'grips or moose bars and house of power shoulder pad (the one Abel sells). I shoot mostly narrative or spots so I don't need long take support but more Si control, mobility and the ability to changeover to hand held quickly. I long for the days of the simplicity and balance of an Aaton.

What I prefer about going shoulder pad aside from the hassle free quickness of a shoulder pad is not having to ever adjust fore/ aft balance of baseplate style pads. Then I can also use the pad for putting o my knee or furniture etc. Current show I'm shooting we use O'grips usually mounted on the O'box. Unbelievably simple and fast.

Well i used to (before i did the crossover to Dp.) Work as a Gaffa with one off the inventor´s for this rig - He was a very "Rock N. Roll". - DP. Normally he just trewh the 435 on the shoulder and didn't want the hassle to spend 10 sec. On Bullsh... Shoulder pad´s or handles - And that is what he has strived to achive in this set-up - Ultra Quick (the essence of commercial). With the ability to adapt tool free - as i see it - a nicely fit balance.
