  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I got a call this morning from my rep that my Scarlet was ready for pickup! I was pretty excited, to say the least. Having ordered 12 hours after the announcement, and having kept track of the slow production rates, and not having received an allocation email regarding the scarlet, I was shocked and of course ecstatic. My rep, sensing that, said to hold on just a second. He then corrected himself, that it was my touch LCD and accessories that are ready.

Arg!!!

Okay, now the wait just became that much longer.


P.S. My rep is great, and I'm not calling him out by name in case this is read as negative towards him. We all make little mistakes - this one just made my heart jump and I wanted to share :)

It is so weird that some are getting Touch LCD and accessories and no brain, and others (Like me) are getting a brain but no Touch LCD or Sidehandle.
 
Just get my confirmation e-mail from BOMBSQUAD about some accessories delivery (including display, etc.)! Pretty excited, cause I ordered on NOV 5, which means huge line in front of me already being served.
 
Same here. My brain is on its way....but won't be able to use it until I get either LCD or side handle....this is messed up imho.

Yeah.. I was contemplating letting them give it to someone who already has a scarlet, but given Red strangely refuses to provide any delivery guidance whatsoever except to say they hope they might be out of backorder in a few months, I can't take that risk. I wouldn't mind lending the LCD out to fellow SD'ers for a few days though if not having it is preventing them from shooting.
 
It is weird that some are getting what others need to make a full package. I've had my Touch LCD for like 3 weeks without hearing a peep about anything else. I ordered 4 hours after the announcement, so I should be coming up sometime sorta kinda soonish. It would make more sense to get folks everything they need all at once though. My fear with just getting the LCD was that they may be trying to buy themselves some extra time and buy me off with an early arriving LCD. Who knows. We'll all get what we need eventually.
