I received my Stg2 Epic X this morning...wow....what a work of art!

I have attached my side handle and EVF (I don't yet have the screen or redmote). When powering up, I had a full display in the EFV and info on the Side Handle display. Going through the menus, I selected just an overlay for the EVF. Now I can't seem to get back into the menu. I assume I would just hit the menu button on the Side Handle, but that is not working. Also, all of the info has now disappeared from the Side Handle screen. I'm sure this is all user error and I've hit a button I wasn't supposed to, but I can't seem to get the menu back in the EVF. Anyone know what I've done?

Thanks in advance.

I did this with the touchscreen. Set it to "clean" so there were no menus then couldn't get the menus back! Think they have since put in a fail-safe but don't know what it is for the side handle.

Easiest thing to do is reinstall the firmware and start again. That's what I did!

Currently the only way to bring menus back (if you have disabled menus on each monitor) is through the touch screen (double tapping) or using the REDmote ("LCD Mode" slot). If you don't have either of those you will need to do as Jim suggested and perform a force upgrade which will reset to the factory defaults.

Thanks for the replies! I just talked to support and that is also what they suggested. When loading the SSD into the RED Station, my MacPro doesn't recognize it and wants me to "Initialize" Is there a safe way to do this? I can't format it on the Epic cause I don't have menus....

Is there a reason not to format a RED SSD using Mac's disk utility? I just need the Mac to recognize it so I can load a "force upgrade". I can reformat the SSD in Epic once it's loaded.
If you can format using the Mac Disk Utility, what volume format should I choose?

I'd try FAT32 but I'm only guessing. A wrong format won't hurt it though so try options until it works?
