  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DEANAN: we need you - red needs you....

Deanan was a vital part of RED, and should he choose to come back at some point, I'm sure Jim couldn't be happier -- but let's all just wish him the best wherever he's going, whatever he is doing, because after all, he isn't just a RED employee and team member: he's a human being, and soul searching and changing things is part of life.

Everything in life changes... count on it.

+1... For D to come back

I do not think Steve Wake's post was 'preachy' at all. I think he wrote a very eloquent post.

I think enough has been said here. I think we should let it go.

Steve speaks in the first person about matters he has no knowledge of, while quoting my post implying I, and other REDusers, have something to do with work hours, professional challenges or Deanan's supposed lack of life balance. "Eloquent" . . . naah, just some Bay Area bullshit jabber about the pursuit of chillax.

With no more Deanan I have just one question...

Who at RED can I now email, and expect a response from, at 11:30PM on a Saturday night???

man, Im starting to think WE ALL DROVE HIM INSANE! - :)

Def Miss Deanan past infinity and back.... but I bet he just plain needed a break. I know I would after 4 years at RED's breakneck pace.

Deanan always stepped up for everyone. Best wishes and Happy New Year to you Deanan if you are reading this.
Thanks for everything.

Good call.

You might know more than the rest of us so I respect the idea of letting it go.
It's sad to see. We can probably expect fewer camera upgrades for a while.

+1 Mike!

Can't say thank you enough for everything you've done for this whole community Deanan... Best to you and your future! :)

Jim did say he was no longer happy working at RED.

If you are refrring to the pst Jim started in Recon on Deanan's departure, no he didn't.

He wished him happiness at where he goes. Big difference.

@Steven C: Right. I read more into a few posts than I should have. The situation resonated with me emotionally and I lost some objectivity.

But I agree with David above, that Peter L-C probably knows more and we should just move on.

@Josh: We're obviously different people, just look at our Avatars - fire vs. water. How's that for some Bay Area chillax hippie BS? ;)
