My daughter Brooke is new singer song writer, Dabbling in the deep end... Her music producer in the US Ron Dante called (edit) a week earlier earlier to see if I could throw together a quick video so he could show a few people in LA Brooke singing... So we did this for a bit of fun over the weekend.

It was fun especially watching your kid grow before your very eyes... and being her first ever time in front of a camera, I think she did ok. :)))

yes... Shot on the EPIC of course, with my Hasselblad shift tilt lenses...

Wow Mark, those images are really beautiful. Thanks for sharing .
There's something about the texture of the skins that i just love, and the bokehs
What lenses? how was it graded?

Wow. Impressive! :-)

I will say this, however... There appears to be an enormous amount of compression in that Vimeo video. Especially since it was uploaded at 1280x534, the loss of quality really shows. I'm sure the original looked even better though!

Looks like a fun shoot and your daughter's song is great! =D

Holy shit mate, it looks amazing. Keep us posted on Dante's reaction. :)

mark! you have a beautiful, talented daughter - i'm sure you're very proud. lovely work, really exceptional!

Funny, but for some reason my home movies don't quite look like this.

"Throw together" is another Toia understatement...

Looks like a nice little family weekend... Great Job!

9-lights and a 220 never looked so good next to each other. Best smashed-guy-starts-a-fight camerawork of the year.

Hi Guys,

Just to clear up: Shoot was 16 hours total ...edit, online & FX and grade was 22 hours total... It was a very rushed event, I wanted to get back to my holiday :)))
Its always easier when you don't have any clients to slow you down, all creative thinking can happen without discussion.. and when you own all your own gear and do all your own post... that makes a huuuge difference when pushing something out quickly.

Thanks for the nice replies guys, as a Dad, I hope she does ok in the cut and thrust world of the music industry... I'ts a tough (shark filled) game. Probably similar to the movie game.
