  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet-X video review

Well done! Looking forward to part 2.

Thanks for sharing Sebastian. Frequent visitor to Cinema 5D. Great site. If you have time, do post some real world examples of the camera in Guerrilla like situations, like shooting at night, daylight exteriors, high detail panoramas and human subjects. We are still "hungry" for those :)

This is great! Thanks. I'm excited to see episode 2. I'm particularly interested in alternative power options and rigging options.

Good to see, nothing all that new but i'm excited for part 2 and this is a good resource for someone coming in blind and interested in the scarlet. Perhaps a little bit more info could be given though such as the fact that HDMI and HD-SDI cannot be used simultaneously etc... little factual info that could help inform prospective buyers. Keeping the video short and concise is also important so I get that you don't want to go too crazy.

Thanks for sharing.

This is fantastic Sebastian. This is absolutely the type of content I would like to see. Nice concise yet detailed information. I think most camera comparisons just become noise because really in the end I just want to see what people make with the cameras and have good examples of why this or that is good or bad. I don't care if Camera A shoots a random test scene differently from Camera B. Get out and shoot something interesting that fully puts the camera to the test, don't put the camera in a test chamber .

Definitely a fan of this type of content. Keep posting!

This is for those who want to get a feel for this camera and see a basic setup.
...my real motivation to come here is I feel as one of the first owners of a Scarlet-X I'm obliged to share all I gather about this camera on this forum where it all comes together and I would like to give interested people the chance to be part of it. If I were spending a lot of time here, waiting for my Scarlet to arrive or playing with the thought of getting one I'd like to get as much information as I can...

That seemed clear to me and it's much appreciated.

Nice work! makes me jump every time you spin it, though, lol.

Sebastian,

Nice presentation!

Looking forward to part 2.

Regarding my question about whether you'd like to see this kind of post on here:
Thanks for the kind answers, I'm glad you're into it. I have removed the question from my first post.

We finished a quick short film drama that I will up tomorrow.
