What do you think about the supply rate of scarlets in a month? How many can they manufacture in a month? Any ideas?

If you check THE LIST here :

You can see there is a lot of Sale Orders...
There is 6000 SO between the last Scarlet received and mine ...
If I count that half of the sales are for a Scarlet : 3000 ordered before mine...
If I count only 300 per month, that means I will not get it before september 2012 !!!
I can't believe that !
If so I will cancelled my order... that's unacceptable, even from RED...
I'm in Europe so maybe it will change something... but I get RED Europe in phone fews days ago and they say they can't predict anything... Thanks guys !
We just ask for a prediction, a month or 4 month ? They can't tell ! It's quite a shame.
RED are professional tools. They are not a consumer products, you can buy everywhere at any quantity. Some peeps here waited 2 years for their EVF. Be patient.
Unless you are new to RED you should have known to order a Scarlet ASAP if you wanted one. Odds are if you wanted a Scarlet you would have been following RED for a while. You should have done your homework. Sorry.
Thats BS, Sorry. If you want a Scarlet, you buy a Scarlet. Just because some people have more time to snoop around on these forums more than others doesn't make their money any more valuable.

RED doesn't sell consumer products. You can't just stroll into Best Buy and get one. Pretty much everything that comes out of RED is a custom order and generally already sold before it's even made.
If for example someone where to have no knowledge of a product such as Scarlet, then learn about it one day, then decide the next day they want one and expect to get it, that is what I would call BS. I don't understand how one would go about a purchase like this without doing substantial research. People waited years for the RED One, years to get an Epic, hearing about Scarlet for YEARS...and this has been common knowledge about RED camera systems. Given that Scarlet was actually shipping within two months of the "official" announcement is miracle and a blessing for many. We've all waited LONG for these cameras, most of us for years. So unless you're James Cameron, you'll have to wait your turn. Just because you're at the back of the line, doesn't give you the right to be bitter about it. I bet the guy in front of you isn't complaining and the guy behind you would be glad to take your place.

When the end of Feb was given as a timeframe for clearing back orders, I believe they were talking about those already in the system, ie: epics and accessories. I don't believe that remark had anything to do with Scarlet because (If I remember correctly) that was a pre- Nov. 3 remark. Someone correct me please if I am mistaken.
There is a track record to be considered here, but Scarlet comes on the heels of some hard learned lessons for the Red Team. They are wiser now, and Scarlet was always intended to ramp up more quickly. My point is that times have changed and one user's guess is as good
as any.
We'll all get it when it comes.
I thought about making something somewhere permanent.. but we are hoping this isn't going to be a permanent situation.. just a couple more months and backorders will be the exception rather than the norm.
