For Sale: AMAZING NEW Set of Zeiss rehoused Prime Lenses

WOW nice conversion! If they could do Leica sets like this, I think we'd be beating each other down for them like it was black Friday!

As far as I know, those are Cineovision conversions done in Japan. Stone cine has sold many sets with those conversions.

Nick

Precisely Nick, you nailed it. . . . I've sold a few Cineovision sets in the past.
Attached are some examples

Can anyone vouch for this seller or confirm his identity? His ebay history is all EURO based with the largest transaction at 1300. Now a set of lenses for 10k USD that are located in a different country than where the seller is based? something seems a little fishy...

I can't vouch for Masoud Gouvamin as I don't know him but

what I can vouch for is that I recently put up a thread (http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?68144-Contax-Zeiss-Re-Housed-Primes-PL-Mount) with these exact primes from another seller I found on ebay.

I contacted the seller and he was asking half the price of this set.

He told me they were converted by Kelvin Kamera.

I contacted them and they told me they are releasing a DIY solution for rehousing Contax Zeiss. Doesn't sound like a super safe solution for quality glass.

I removed this item because I don't want to answer to thausend questions in these BUSY DAYS. Lot of them are STUPID questions (Why is the highest price of your items 1300 euro, why are you located in Germany and this item in NYC...)

If my price is high it doesn't mean my auction is fishy.
If I am located in Germany and I am sellig something on the ebay USA it doesn't mean it is fishy!

My Payment was PayPal. Normaly if there is something wrong with the item (paid via PayPal) the buyer can contact PayPal for refund....

The item isn't sold and it will be shipped in the next days from USA to Germany. Maybe I relist it from Germany. But it will be an other price (price + tax). I hoped that I can sell it within the USA.

My last soled item was a like new Zeiss 100mm T2.1. The Buyer was Erich Roland here on reduser.

I pretend as if I had not read these things up ...
Anyway...

it's not a stupid question to ask why the listing throws up some of the oldest red flags in ecommerce: identical/poached item description, seller in different country than product, immediate payment required by paypal to a foreign country account, cannot physically view product before buying. And then there's the biggest red flag: seller hostility at why the buyer doesn't just take the risk because of the sweet deal.

Maybe it's legit but it certainly doesn't seem that way. Post a picture with this thread open next to the lenses.

I dd buy a used Zeiss 100mm 2.1 lens from Masoud and it was a clean transaction. The lens was in very good condition and a great price, shipped from Germany.

Good luck everyone.
