While biding my time waiting for my Scarlet, I have been looking around at different rigs and came across these guys at Edelkron.com. I have to say, it looks very well designed. I was wondering if anyone on has any hands-on experience. Thanks!

No, but they do look good.

Things I like: Shoulder mount easily transforms into a dual shoulder mount, the top handle design is clever and has a couple of hot shoe mounts for accessories, the "place and slide" stainless steel counter-balanced weights, and the monitor/EVF holder flexibility.

I have not used them...but in my experience...simple is better and some of those rigs, dont look very simple. This video came to mind when I was looking at some of those rigs.

lol, dont get me wrong, I am not saying they are bad by any means(especially seeing I have never used this gear). But I am actually thinking of taking a rig I have and customizing it to be more compact and affective.

Just my humble opinion (Some of the smaller rigs they have dont look too bad)

Heard of them but never used stuff from them - now I`m curios how well it`s made and how robust it is. The thing that bugged/bugs me is their pretentious name, it`s german and means "precious crown" - if their products are well made I won`t care anymore but my first reaction was: big sounding name and almost exclusively rendered images...

I guess you like to keep the weight on your shoulder.

Very nice unit! I like the sliding Hinkle bars and the way they were able to integrate the Jimmy pivots. This is some serious cinematography gear.

Haven't used it in the field - but I saw their rigs at NAB this year and spent some time playing around with them - felt very well made and more comfortable than they look.
(for what that's worth)

I'll admit, I am a sucker for super good design and this stuff seems very well thought out - functionally and aesthetically. And their web site is very thorough. I also like the promise of a well integrated system. What I have found so far, as I try to get my head around all the rod systems that are out there, is that it is hard to visualize what goes with what and how things all work together. While an integrated "system" might be limiting, it can also be very powerful if done right.

This is certainly not "bargain" pricing but I do like the potential... (my 2 cents worth, anyway.)

I'll let you guys know if I "bite."
