Listen up RED Finns, Swedes, Danes, Norwegians and Icelanders!

I here by declare THE NORDIC REDUSER GROUP thread open.

Its main purposes are to make it easier and more effective

– to get in contact with Nordic RED filmmakers and cinematographers
– to share and benefit from experiences when it comes to RED Nordic productions
– to get advice on good rental houses or private rentals in Nordic countries
– to get the word out about RED-films being screened at Nordic film festivals
– to organize events relating to RED productions and/or user experiences
– to sell and buy used RED, EPIC and SCARLET gear
– and what else good neighbors do

I have my home base in Stockholm and have filmed with RED ONE since the spring of 2008.

Our firm is currently based in Erbil City, Kurdistan - Iraq but we also have an office in West Sweden. Our firm has several R1 MX and Red Epic X kits. Also available is a complete package of RPP and Red Zooms.

Excellent idea, Carl!

Greetings from Finland. Currently shooting on RED One (M) and Nikon lenses, upgrading to Stage 3.5 Epic-X soon (I hope).

Way to go, Calle!

Im on Red one and are eagerly waiting for my Epic stage 3.

Malmö, Sweden

REDUSER is the best place for making contacts!!!! In the spring of 2008 I was going to shoot some interviews in Oslo. Through the forum I got in contact with the Norweigan Eirik Tyrihjel and he agreed to rent his RED to me. It would be until the fall that I took delivery of my own camera. Last Sepemtber I was shooting a music video also in Oslo. One night I realized I was missing a vital part for a big reflector I had rented back in Stockholm. Again Eirik came to my help. He gave me the private cell phone number to a light guy working at one of the big rental houses. It really saved my night. In the Nordic community we could all benefit from having these kind of contacts. And of course there are others besides me who have and are doing this on a regular basis. Tomorrow I am meeting up with Eirik again. This time check out his EPIC!!!!

Basically a full MoCo service and standalone epic package.

See you tomorrow Carl!
I am in Oslo with two Epics and a red one mx, I rent, and I shoot!
I always love to discuss Red and Red products!

Help me out here guys. What's the trick to exporting Quicktimes that look like the clip does in RCX Pro? I'm grading in REDcolor2 and REDgamma2, and TIFF exports come out looking fine. Quicktimes look like crap, very different from RCX Pro and TIFFs. I'm on a Windows 7 64-bit, in case that has any bearing on this.

DANES should be mentioned first as we have red in our flag (Joke in case it was missed)

Hey guys. I'm based in Copenhagen, Denmark. I own an MX and an Epic-X. Both are available for rental to "known partners", meaning I will rent it to people I trust and have worked with before. If we haven't worked together before then I'll be accompanying my camera for the first few days of production. My main business is not rental, though. I primarily work as a DIT but on select projects I'll work as a 2nd AC and DP also. I'm very open to do collaborations with other shooters in Scandinavia and have a fully equipped VW Transporter and will be happy to drive to beautiful Sweden, Norway and Finland :-)

That's exactly how I was planning on renting out my Epic-X once it arrives. I trust this approach has worked well for you?
