  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Since RED ain't sayin' nothing about Scarlet-X delivery dates, the community started
to gather its own info and put togheter "The List" It's the Attempt to make a
prediction on our own. Far from scientifical ... but hey: It's the best guess on
where we stand in line and how fast Scarlets get out the Door ;-)

(UPDATE: THE LIST seems to be down for some unknown reasons at the moment)

Our Friend Justin Harrison ist maintaining the List. If you want to change or add some info
just hit Justin with a PM. Thanx Justin 4 your efforts - finally we have a
reliable list again ;-)

No problem: All the others left out the first "5" ... i fixed those two ... all good now ;-)
 
hmmm. my order (scarlet/Canon Al) number is
1111032258400555
10pm-ish Nov 3rd.
Doesn't seem to jive with order numbers I see on the sheet (which is VERY impressive BTW!)
Hate to add o this if I am not correctly entering data. Comments before I do and bodge it?

You're looking at the order # on your email. Log into your account on the RED store and you will see a number preceded by an SO.
 
It looks like a long wait for most of us.
My gut hunch is that production will only ramp up in the new year. I'm OK with that though.
Another hunch is that EPIC orders take priority - rightly so since they're paying a lot more.
 
he he ... all the same ... VIPs get equipped first ;-) Okay with me.

And Brent from Bomb-Squad hinted, we shouldn't rely too much on SO-Numbers. Telling us between the lines, that maybe delivery could be quicker than we thought. That's a Word Up! ;-)

... and already waited a lot longer than we did ...
 
Someone on the forums mentioned that being a RED owner means to learn patience. I'm definitely feeling it. :)

There are things I want, that are on backorder, and things I want that I simply can't afford.

If you go through the EPIC section of the forums, you'll notice that over a thousand EPICs are already out there in the wild. That's from March 2011 to Dec 2011.
The list of SCARLETs haven't reached a thousand yet and it's only been a month since the ability to purchase it. RED has mentioned the Dec 1st they were getting more out, and that's only been 3 days since they truly starting getting SCARLETs out.

According to the list, there are about 200 SCARLET orders from readers/participants of this forum. Even if your quadruple that number, you still haven't reached what RED has been able to produce for the EPIC guys. I really don't think the wait is as long as people make it out to be, but rather a perception of time because we want it so badly. :)

October was one of the longest months of my life. Then November became longer because I purchased a SCARLET. Visiting the forums every 10 minutes doesn't help the wait either, but I think I'm addicted now. Hahahaha.

I am right here with you Anthony. Work has been a little slow, and I have PLENTY of time to read this entire forum. Every now and then I catch myself reading 3 year old posts about phantom power and I have to close my laptop and leave the room.

Just to note, I believe there's closer to 2000 Epics out in the wild.
