  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet and Europe ... lack of infos

My question is not about VAT:
I'm wondering if modifications on my order can be done when the bomb squad will contact me for payment and shipping ?
I've made two different orders: one for the camera and major accessories on november 4 , and one for bars, top mounts and Redmote on november 21...Will they ship it all at one time ?

(I don't want the 5" LCD no more because I can't use both the EVF and the pro LCD at the same time)
 
You will be able to modify your order up until the time the order starts to ship.
We will not ship anything until a) goods are paid for in full and b) you tell us to do so (within reason).
We can ship all together or separately.

I imagine the shipping cost are less important if you ship all together...
I have read the RED FAQs but find no answer to this:
If I choose "all together" shipping, is my late Redmote order will delay my Scarlet shipping ?
 
Asking for an 'all together' shipment will of course mean that the latest item to be available will determine the ship date.
At this point in time, we are not able to say which items, if any, will be backordered..
 
Hi Alan, thanks for the feedback...
It may be nice to have some news regarding Official Shipping progress of RED UK and their client in Europe.
Will we see, one day, a RED's client shipped any time soon in Europe ?.. Or you are just waiting for the Scarlet to arrive ?

I understand that you have many things to do and that you are pretty much overwhelmed however,
I asked you some EPIC-X questions by email, could you please take a look when you will have some time to spare

If there was still any doubt I received an invoice from RED today and VAT is indeed charged on top of the prices quoted in 'My Account'.

Sorry I should have made my post clearer to avoid misplaced excitement - this was for an additional order, not for my actual Scarlet order. I'm in the UK.

I know people are conplaining about the VAT, tax, lack of infos, stock, and so one. But I want to say a big THANK TO RED for its Europe Division !
I bought a 788t sounddevice this summer. So I called the company in France who sells it and i looked at BH : with all VAT, and customs paid, still more than 30% in the price between them ! And BH are not allowed to sent th products in France because they have a "contract" with the exclusive distributor...
So, I am more than happy that Red Europe IS Red and not just an adress in an Europe country. All the little trouble we could have are nothing compared.

Hear hear! The price difference can sometimes be larger on some products from the US

every day it gets harder for me to believe in getting my scarlet-x before christmas. :-(

I am on the 3rd page of orders at Red Europe :o

There is about 20 per page - I ordered on the 4th.... (!)

Anyway - they have a batch coming in tomorrow but they don't know how many

I am told 4 to 6 weeks for mine.

Thanks for the update David. I'm SO 51953 so my estimate of delivery in March seems fairly accurate right now based on your info!

I've SO 51118 and still got no information.
Just got an Mail, that my rep changed to RED EUROPE.
