  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

It doesn't seem RED is getting into that sort of sponsorship game. And I hope they don't. But why would they need to when they have Soderbergh, Fincher, Jackson and more out there shooting major Hollywood productions on their cameras?

That's what REDUCATION is all about.
 
I don't have much in common with big dog Hollywood directors running crews of 100+ so I relate with guys like Rossi or Lowe more better. Would love to have access to small scale RED workshops with Masters on location to see how they and me peers approach and produce a commercial or fashion project. I understand RED has their very specific way of everything and it is clearly working - just throwing out stuff to chat about other than what Scarlet specs might be. Oh on that . . . S35 on Scarlet, Epic M is going to FF35, current Epic owners get a low cost FF35 upgrade to keep them happy and there will be a $20K Epic S which is very close in spec to the current Epic M. All in stock and shipping on November 4th ; )

Seriously. That's REDUCATION. That's exactly what the program is. Not to mention CAMP RED for the younger crowd as well.

RE Ed: Been to Reducation - great program to get familiar with the product. I recommend it to anyone who is new to RED or is trying to make a buying decision. A bit different than having a studio with model, MUA, Stylist and theme to shoot or some other scenerio. That being said . . . me thinks it not smart to carry on a debate on what RED is doing with a mod who has a scary face avatar and the ability to zap my shit at any moment. So . . . I'm good!


RE N3: I say "Marco" you say "Polo" - we can narrow the N3 release specifics that way ; )

can't say at this time what RED will or not do about this... However, we are preparing something that will make the RED Global community SCREAM!!

This is a KETCH ROSSi STUDiOS, Italy, initiative, when details with RED have been discussed and finalized and approved, I'll POST... ;)


Details will be announced soon... Of course that both companies so far have done a great Job, but the reason I never wanted to participate to their Masters, is because IMO they were not good in off of a
representation, what we'll be introducing... Well, let me just say that this can be sure called MASTERS all in capital letters... ;)

BTW, it has nothing to do with REDUCATION...

This will all be done inn ITALY, and every one of them will be showcased form Development to Print in each session, duration ONE WEEK, you come with nothing...

You go home with a Piece of ART made with an EPIC or a SCARLET... Supported with an entire array of Cine Equipment on Location...

Saying it will be FUN.. Its a HUGE understatement... ;)
 
You set it up - I'm on the next plane to Milan. Was there for a couple weeks last fall. Love that city!

As far as location, will be announced at that time, Could be Milan or Florence or Rome or any other location in Italy.
