Short film in Argentina

Hello people, how are you?

I've been a member for a long time of this community but never posted. If my name still looks like "killamill", I'm sorry. I already asked to change it to my real name.

I'm not a RED owner, but I use one every time I can get my hands on one.

This is me shooting a feature 4 months ago.

I'm planning on shooting a short film here in Buenos Aires. It's a story about an alien invasion (very original, right?).

So, why am I writing?

I would like to use a few shots of other cities in the world. Preferably, dawn/night shots. Every city is welcome. And I will post produce the footage to make it look like we are being invaded.

I'm not offering any money in return, I hope I'm not offending anybody. I'm offering of course, the recognition to the author of the images, my eternal thanks and a copy of the film. Maybe I can throw a t-shirt too :laugh:

Any kind of shots can help me. If someone has beautiful aerial shots, that's perfect! Handheld? Perfect! From a terrace? Perfect!

1920x1080 would be ideal. The less compression the better of course.

Can you use stills? (no obvious signs of being a still)
DSLR footage?
Bystander type cellphone footage?
Prefer locked off or pans?
Fuzzy images as if taken under duress?

File format and how does the donator deliver the footage to you?

Hey Bill, many many many for your reply to my post.

Good questions, I should've been more detailed.

Stills could work out, I'm quiet not sure. Depends on the still.

About the rest, any kind of footage could work out. I can use a beautiful aerial shot of London or like you said, a fuzzy image from a cellphone on the desert (if we can make the VFX look good on them).

It's important to me to get footage from all around the world if possible, because of the production value of it (obvious). But mainly, because the story is about a world-wide phenomenon.

So, to be honest... Any footage could work out. DSLR, cellphone, locked off, pans, handheld, aerial and maybe even stills. Another important point, I need night shots only.

About the deliver. I use megaupload to deliver any footage that does not excedes 2gb size (honestly, is the fastest service I used). I've also used FTP.

I can arrange any other way if it works better for the donator.

Creo que te pudo ayudar con unos shots de DC y Baltimore. Cuánto cielo (sky) quieres dejar en el shot? Osea, quieres espacio suficiente para efectos especiales o no importa? Quieres la ciudad entera o partes de?

Desde ya, muchas gracias por tu ayuda!...

Realmente no importa cuanto cielo haya, siempre y cuando pueda incluir 2 estilos diferentes de tomas. Lo mas probable es que, planos que tengan un 50% y 50%, van a servir seguro. Pero puedo también puedo incluir con menos o mas cielo.

La ciudad entera funciona, siempre y cuando se pueda apreciar de que ciudad estamos hablando. Algunas partes de una ciudad también pueden servir. Por ejemplo, construcciones históricas, avenidas importantes, etc.
