HELP!!!!! RED ROCKET ISSUES!!!

REDCINE-X is not recognizing my RR. It has the latest firmware (1.1.15.5) and driver (1.4.15.0). I tried to reinstall the firmware but I get this message:

SV_ERROR_DRIVER_MEMORYINIT, On card memory init failed.
ERROR:

What could it be?!?!

No, it is not a new install. Actually I've been using it weeks. This issue began yesterday. I'm in the middle of a movie and this really sucks!!! I did contacted the RED support. Not answers yet.

REDCINE 501, but I have try it with 487 and 356. The 356 recognizes it, but says it needs firmware 1.3.5 wich I can't find anymore!

Try a safe restart:
-take the rocket out of the computer, switch the dip switch # 8 at the bottom of the card to I (other direction than 1-7)
-put it back in, restart and reinstall driver and firmware
-take the card back out and put dip switch #8 back to 0
You should be good to go...

Oh, i forgot to mention that in this show because the locations and all the moves I've been using it with a magma ExpressBox. It was working great until now. I have two Macbooks. A 15" C2D 2.4 and a brand new 17" thunderbold i7 quad. Until Monday I won't be able to put it back to my tower.

Florian, I put the dip switch #8 to the oposite direction than 1-7 as you said, but when I try to install the firmware, again it gives me the "SV_ERROR_DRIVER_MEMORYINIT, On card memory init failed." error. So I guess it did not work.

This is the Safe mode with 8 dipswitch to on. Default mode is all switches in same position...

Hope that helps.

Might be worth trying the firmware install in safe mode directly in the PCIE slot rather than an extender...

Ok, I'm sending the card today. I was contacted by the RMA department and they agree that the card needs service .

I'm having this exact same issue now. Im on set and rcx doesn't see my RR. I installed the card, driver, and firmware last night. Did a test with some epic footage in rcx-pro build 3, everything worked perfectly. Get on set today and rcx doesn't see the card, but it shows in system profiler... Tried installing the driver again, nothing.... Tried installing the firmware again and I got the same memory error as the original post.... Nothing has changed. Does anyone have any light to shed on this??

I don't think there is a simple solution for that, man. Call the RED Support Team.
