I shot this 2012 Subaru Commercial about 2 months ago with my EPIC-M #490. Mainly on an Optimo 17-80 and also some shots with my iPanchros.

We had the Epic on a 30' Scorpio Technocrane (from Motion Mechanica), Libra Remote Head (Simpco Camera Support) and a Russian Arm (Filmotechnic Canada) for a lot of it. Of course some regular Peewee dolly and Overkeeper shots too.

Used lots of HDRx from +2 to +4 while camera and car were in motion as well as drive-bys. Also HDRx mixed with slow-mo.

Enjoy.

I usually hate car commercials, but some of the shots here are really great just as stills...really great.

Great job Norm, fantastic Russian Arm work reaching over that fence and the 2nd car reveal on the bridge.

Great work!

Hi Norm,

Have a question about HDRx, do you encountered any 'Ghosting' / 'Shadow' when you run at normal speed ?

I've tested the HDRx at normal speed, but found a visible 'Ghosting' / 'Shadow'. HDRx set to +6. But when we run at 50fps, it's better, more cleaner, but still at some movement of the object, I found it.

thanks,
Danu
