What are people using for their bridge plates? I'm thinking of investing in the new Red DSCM quick release system but wish I had the option to swap out from 15mm to 19mm like you can currently do with the ET plate.. Options?

Thanks!

Rick, i believe that exists with the Quick Disconnect...the front adapter accepts 15mm or 19mm rods....as far as i was able to see in their video.....That's the way i'm going....Quick Disconnect with RED plate...while on QD plate...you can add rod holders 15mm or 19mm....and go onto arri dove tail etc....

Hi John, I was planning to use this system, but the 15mm Studio Adapter is centered on the lens, and your mattebox will not align properly, because 15mm Studio is offset 17.5mm. As of now, it won't work.

Dear Rick,

Our solution to this consists of 3 main pieces;

1. An ActionProducts EPIC Riser Plate for industry standard spacing, to allow to standardized accessories like matteboxes,

2. An ActionProducts EPIC 15mm RodMount (either Lite or Audio, depending on if you also wanted an Audio Adapter (XLR Pro inputs instead of the 3.5mm audio)). This mounts directly to the EPIC Riser Bottom Plate.

3. The ActionProducts Bridge Plate which has 19mm rod mounting capabilities.

With all of these, you have 15mm and 19mm available in their respected spacings, as well as industry standard height on the EPIC. Simply put the Riser Plate on top of the bridge plate, attach the 15mm RodMount and you're ready to go! :)

I've been using the ET hybrid with my riser since I got my Epic. I'm building a smaller 15mm studio baseplate that is more appropriate to the Epic's size.
