...has anyone come up with a way to drill a hole into the side of the Epic (at sensor plane) and attach a tape hook for focus?
Ok, drilling aside, how are camera assistants using Epic attaching the beloved tape measure at sensor plane to measure focus? 3rd party accessory? or just forget about the tape measure?

Hey Brook, I have another idea for you. a little tiny bracket to add to the side of your base plate.

We had to knock this rough version up to get out of trouble in a tight situation, worked better than good! Actually is now a permanent fixture on the camera until we knock up a better looking one.
We like to put the EVF in all sorts of angles, not just straight up or down. Also we are trying to keep the camera light and small at all times, also we don't want to carry any more crap around the world... Less is best!

You can probably hang your tape measure hook off it as well.

You keen on making them for your base plate kit as an extra.
